[August 23, 2019 – Mentor, OH]

The Lake County Council on Aging has published the Request for Proposal application for the new “Non-Medical In-Home Care Program”

This in-home care program will allow for a weekly visit from a home care aide to provide basic assistance with activities of daily living such as personal care and light housekeeping. This supports the goal of older adults having the services and supports they need to “age in place” and to be maintained in their own homes.

Lake County Council on Aging will act as the program administrator, contracting with several local non-medical home care agencies selected pursuant to this bidding process to provide the hands-on care support.  The agency anticipates that most clients will be eligible for one service episode (equivalent to two hours) per week.  During this time, home care aides will be able to assist with personal care and hygiene as well as light household duties.

There will be no conference for bidding contractors (a “contractor” or “bidder”) for this procurement but all questions and their answers will be posted at https://www.lccoa.org/rfp-questions-and-answers-9-13-19/ on an ongoing basis beginning on August 23, 2019 with the last answers being posted no later than 2PM EST on September 11, 2019.

Envelopes containing the bid and other required documents should be sealed and clearly marked:
