Flu Clinic for Seniors at Council on Aging November 4th

The Lake County General Health District (LCGHD) will be administering Flu shots for individuals  65 years of age or older, on November 4th at the Lake County Council on Aging office, 8520 East Avenue in Mentor.

The flu clinic will take place from 1:30PM – 4PM.  Appointments are necessary.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends getting your flu shot this fall to help reduce your risk from serious illnesses from the flu, including hospitalization. Because influenza viruses are always changing, the flu vaccine is reviewed annually and updated as needed.

Your flu shot may be free with medical insurance or Medicare Part B. There is no copayment unless required by your plan.   If you are self-paying via cash or check, the total price is $80.00.  The Lake County General Health District cannot accept bills larger than $20.00

  • Flu vaccines are open to those seniors aged 65 years old and older
  • Appointments will be required for vaccination, no walk-ins will be available
  • Seniors will need to bring their photo ID and insurance card
