Support Aide for Nutrition (“floating” support for our 5 sites)
Join the dynamic nutrition services team at Lake County Council on Aging, Meals on Wheels, a premier non-profit provider of services to Lake County Seniors.
We are seeking an energetic self-starter for a part-time position in nutrition services. This person will make a positive difference in the lives of hundreds of seniors by providing a hot, nutritious meal through our congregate dining services and Meals on Wheels delivery by our volunteers, Monday thru Friday mornings … NO evenings or weekends.
Successful candidate will be a committed early-riser eager to work in a fast-paced environment in a senior nutrition facility. Prefer candidate with prior food service experience and/or willing to learn safe food handling, hygiene / communicable disease prevention practices.
As a Support Aide for Nutrition, you will be providing meal preparation and/or administrative/clerical support at one of our 5 Meals-on-Wheels sites (Wickliffe, Willowick/Eastlake, Mentor, Painesville or Madison) due to personnel absences or changes in meal volume.
To provide professional administrative/clerical support, candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills, capable of demonstrating computer proficiency and ability to work effectively with our highly valued volunteers.
To support meal preparation, candidate must be capable of frequent lifting of 20+ pounds, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
Candidates must pass comprehensive background check.
Schedule: Must be available between 6:30am and 1:30pm (subject to vary between those parameters)
Weekly day range:
Monday to Friday (expected hours: 25 per week)
Salary: From $11.75 per hour
