Home Safety Modifications

The Council on Aging has a home safety modification program to help prevent falls and other saftey-related incidents.  Examples of modifications include installation of grab bars and handrails, placement of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors, hand-held showers, replacement of light bulbs, and step repair.  If consumers are unable to arrange for the equipment and/or labor involved in the modifications, the Council on Aging's handyman will provide both on a sliding-fee scale.
