Jack Tindall - 1997

Jack Tindall has devoted his time to many organizations in Lake County. At the Willoughby Browning Senior Center he has served two consecutive terms as President of the Board of Trustees and currently sits as Vice President . Jack was responsible for organizing and operating many successful fund-raisers such as pancake breakfasts to help finance projects including a new 42 passenger bus for the center, a CB radio, a cellular phone, and kitchen appliances and utensils. He is also involved in many of the center's social events and can often be seen wearing a chef's hat and flipping burgers or pancakes at picnics and parties.

Besides all the time to devotes to the Browning Center, Jack and his wife Eva work closely with Lakeland Community College to initiate programming for older adults. They were charter members of the Advisory Board to establish the Elderhostel Program in Lakeland. He currently serves on the Lakeland Senior Day Program Advisory Board.

Jack is concerned with teens as well as seniors. He feels that adults should show the younger generation they are cared for and support programs that encourage responsible behavior. Because of this belief, Jack was instrumental in raising donations for the South High After Prom. On the other end of the spectrum, Jack served on the 1996 Lake County Senior Citizens Services Levy Coalition and was a board member for the Lake County Council on Aging.
