Spending a day with Frank Ragley might just scare many away from retirement, because it seems as if Frank works as hard-if not harder-now, than he did during his long career with American Airlines.

Don't bother asking Frank for his home phone number-he's usually not there.  He may be in Cleveland serving as a county appointed member of the Board of the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging.  He may be attending a meeting as a Board member of the Lake County Council on Aging or the Five County Advisory Council, or he might be out at a SCORE or LEDC meeting, or at the CIC helping with the Child Welfare Levy Renewal.

Frank has served as Chair and President of countless boards and committees and even as Acting Mayor of Fairport Harbor.

Frank Ragley's tireless efforts on behalf of all Lake County residents,
especially the frail, the elderly and the disadvantaged have earned him the recognition and respect of many.  Mr. Ragley was the first recipient of Blue Cross/Blue Shield's Mannix Award for Outstanding Volunteer.

Those of us who know Frank, however, know that it isn't a desire for recognition that drives him.  It is just that Frank will not sit idly by when he sees that something needs to be done.  It is he nature to get involved and work towards a solution.
