Elizabeth Szabo
Elizabeth
Szabo, 81, is your one stop volunteer. While
others might sit back and let others do for them, Betty actively does for
others! Since 1986, Betty has
devoted an average of 80 hours per month to the Lake County Council on Aging
Painesville Nutrition Site. Monday
through Friday, she arrives around 8:30 a.m. at the site to perform her duties
that include packing meals for Meals on Wheels, helping with the congregate
lunches and serving them to seniors at the nutrition site, maintaining the
reservation desk, answering the telephone and assisting with the daily deposits. Her constant smile and pleasant mannerisms are always
encouraging seniors who visit the site for their daily noontime meal.
She listens to their concerns, and they know they can count on her!
Mrs. Szabo truly enjoys helping to brighten the days of fellow seniors.
Since 1986, Mrs. Szabo has also volunteered at the Painesville Senior
Center through RSVP.
Betty
is an active member of St. Mary Church in Painesville, acting as a lector.

Mrs.
Szabo is devoted to her volunteerism as she is to her 7 children, 20
grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
