Don McGinley has provided a lifetime of service to his community, state and country.  His career in the U.S. Air Force spanned over 35 years until his retirement as a Brigadier General in 1986.  He is a decorated veteran who served during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.

For thirty years, Mr. McGinley had a respected career in education as a teacher and administrator.  In 1988 he accepted a new appointment as the Deputy Director and Training Officer of the Lake County Emergency Management Agency, for which he served for 10 years.

Mr. McGinley is also active in church activities and local politics.  He served for five years as Chairman of the Lost Nation Airport.

Through all his careers and community involvements, Don McGinley gave many hours that took him away from many family and personal activities.  His dedication to his four separate professions significantly contributed to the safety, education, and welfare of the citizens of Lake County.
