Do you live alone and struggle with managing your household tasks and home maintenance?
Are you thinking of downsizing to a more manageable living arrangement but wonder what options exist? Do you find yourself spending a lot of time worrying about how you can afford to pay for your care with your limited income and savings?
Do you just feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start? Options Counseling can help!

Each year, more seniors, people with disabilities and their families are confronted with often challenging decisions about how to obtain the long-term care services and supports they need. Decisions include choices such as home health care versus alternative living options, social support options for daily living, transportation, as well as, the projected costs. Our Options Counselor can help you to weigh the pros and cons of such decisions and help you to develop a realistic “Plan B” if additional services and supports are needed. Options Counseling is a free service and may be provided at the Lake County Council on Aging office in Mentor, your home, a community setting, or health care facility.
