Yesterday, social service staff of the Lake County Council on Aging were trained in the provision of a new service, Long Term Support Options Counseling. This service is a comprehensive decision-support process to help people 60+ and younger disabled adults plan for their current and future care needs.
The emphasis is on providing information and assisting with decisions about the best options for each individual person. The service is designed to help each person remain living in their residence of choice as long as possible, while maximizing income and assets. It is offered at no cost to the individual and can be provided in the home, at the Council on Aging’s office, or at another location requested by the individual. Please call 440-205-8111 for more information or to schedule an Options Counseling appointment.
