Age is No Predictor of Influence or Fame

Pope Benedict XVI, arguably the person with influence on the most people around the world, is 85. Queen Elizabeth is still fulfilling her royal duties at age 86. Three US Supreme Court justices, Antonin Scalia, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, and Anthony Kennedy, are over 75. On Wednesday, July 18th , South Africa and supporters around the world will celebrate Nelson Mandela International Day, when he celebrates his 94th birthday. With all the problems faced by our world, it is gratifying to know that the wisdom and experience of these great leaders and others is available to us all.
