Heating Assistance
Programs are available to Lake County residents during the cold weather season that assist eligible households with the costs of utilities used in heating their homes. These programs include discounts on utility bills, budgeting plans, weatherization, and emergency assistance.

Households can apply for some of these programs through the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). HEAP applications can be downloaded and printed by visiting the Ohio Department of Development's Web site.
HEAP applications can also be completed at the Lake County Council on Aging office. Contact us to schedule an appointment.
